Mexico’s green IT software market is projected to grow from USD 0.57 billion in 2025 and USD 0.66 billion in 2026 to USD 1.44 billion by 2031, representing a compound annual growth rate of 16.89% between 2026 and 2031. The outlook is supported by expanding sustainability disclosure requirements, cloud adoption and corporate efforts to improve the energy efficiency of IT operations. A January 2025 resolution from the National Banking and Securities Commission requires issuers listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange and Institutional Stock Exchange to comply with IFRS S1 and S2 disclosure standards, with initial filings due in 2026 for the 2025 financial year. Mexico’s sustainability reporting framework for non-listed entities, effective Jan. 1, 2025, adds 30 sustainability indicators, including greenhouse-gas inventories and energy consumption data, to financial statement notes. Cloud-based deployment accounted for 62.17% of market revenue in 2025, while software held 74.14%; hybrid deployment and services are forecast to grow at CAGRs of 17.04% and 16.93%, respectively, through 2031. High integration costs, inconsistent emissions data and shortages of green IT and change-management expertise remain adoption constraints.
