Bitcoin fell from about $80,000 to around $77,000 after forming a golden cross, a technical signal created when the 50-day moving average rises above the 200-day average. Most of the latest advance had already occurred before the signal, with Bitcoin previously rising from $62,000 to $82,000. Historical examples cited in the report show similar pullbacks after golden crosses: Bitcoin dropped from $52,000 to $40,000 in 2021, from $23,000 to $20,000 after the February 2023 signal, from $70,000 to $67,000 after the October 2024 signal, and from $110,000 to $100,000 after the May 2025 signal.
