Morpho is seeking governance approval for a $50,000 grant in MORPHO tokens to transfer operation of its Mini App on World App to Featherlend, an independent interface and curation provider. The underlying smart contracts (self-executing blockchain code) will remain unchanged, while Featherlend assumes responsibility for front-end operations, branding, infrastructure maintenance, user support and curatorial coordination. The application will remain functionally the same for users under the new management. MIP 132, posted in June 2026, allocates the grant to rebranding and one year of operational support. The proposal reflects Morpho's effort to separate protocol development from application-layer work, allowing the team to focus on building and maintaining its lending infrastructure. Morpho previously transferred operations of its Lite app to Feather, the same organization behind Featherlend, making that handoff a trial for the Mini App transition. The Mini App, launched in 2025, has attracted more than 2.2 million users, including over 900,000 verified individuals through World App's biometric identity system, while total deposits exceeded $100 million shortly after launch. A vote by MORPHO token holders will determine whether the operating model continues, with approval supporting the outsourcing of non-core functions and rejection requiring a new management approach.
