The Ibovespa fell 0.6% to close at 187,207 on Friday as a continuing Supreme Court crisis heightened political uncertainty and weighed on Brazil’s economic outlook. Chief Justice Edson Fachin ordered Justice André Mendonça to remove within 24 hours the secrecy surrounding proceedings linked to investigations into Banco Master, including possible irregularities involving financing for the film "Dark Horse," which could affect Flávio Bolsonaro’s electoral prospects. Markets view Bolsonaro as more fiscally restrictive, while elevated domestic yields and weak business activity remain a drag. State-controlled financial stocks declined, led by falls in Banco do Brasil, BB Seguridade and Caixa. CSN dropped 7.4% as investors took profits, although the stock remained up 4.2% for the week after a CEO change. The Ibovespa gained 1.1% on a weekly basis.
