AMD raised its 2030 total addressable market estimate for high-performance computing to $3 trillion from roughly $2 trillion, while expanding its AI systems business with the Helios rack. Unveiled at the Advancing AI 2026 conference on July 23, Helios combines 72 Instinct MI455X GPUs, 18 sixth-generation EPYC Venice CPUs, Pensando networking and ROCm software, delivering up to 2.9 exaflops of peak FP4 performance and 31 TB of HBM4 memory. CFO Jean Hu announced the revised forecast at Citi’s Global TMT Conference on September 8, citing an AI super investment cycle; AMD’s data-center revenue reached $6.7 billion in Q2 2026, up 107% year over year and representing 58% of total revenue. AMD expects to launch its MI450 accelerator this quarter for inference workloads, with Helios shipments expected to begin in the second half of 2026 and ramp through 2027.
