Nesa’s NES token returned to trading on Binance Alpha and regained Ethereum funding on Kraken on Sept. 10 following venue-specific interruptions linked to an Aug. 24 token-contract security incident. Binance Alpha is using separate snapshots to determine which balances qualify for a 1:1 swap and which are handled through refunds. Users who held NES before Aug. 24 at 14:51 UTC must also have held an eligible portion when trading was suspended on Sept. 5 at 04:00 UTC to qualify for the swap. NES acquired after the Aug. 24 cutoff is excluded from that treatment, with eligible net purchasers set to receive refund details by email within seven business days. Kraken said NES affected by its funding incident would migrate 1:1 to a new Ethereum contract, restored Ethereum deposits and withdrawals at 14:00 UTC on Sept. 10, and resolved the funding incident 12 minutes later. BNB Chain funding remains disabled, and Kraken will support only Ethereum-based NES going forward. The exchange actions do not establish a universal process for tokens held in private wallets; Nesa’s public site and general wallet documentation had not provided incident-specific self-custody instructions as of press time.
