abrdn Income Credit Strategies Fund (NYSE: ACP) will reduce its monthly distribution from $0.0775 to $0.055 per common share, beginning with the payment due Sept. 30, 2026. Shareholders of record on Sept. 22 will receive the revised distribution, with Sept. 22 also serving as the ex-dividend date. The new rate represents an annualized distribution of approximately 12.5% of the Fund's net asset value as of Sept. 10, 2026, and the Fund intends to maintain it for at least 12 months unless market conditions change significantly and unexpectedly. The Board of Trustees approved the reduction after considering the Fund's strategy, portfolio earnings, market conditions, expected credit-market returns and the economic outlook. The investment adviser said tighter credit spreads have reduced prospective total returns from levels available in prior years, although it remains optimistic about high-yield markets and their income and capital-appreciation potential. The policy allows distributions to consist of current income, realized capital gains and, when necessary, paid-in capital. Aberdeen Investments had approximately $527 billion in assets under management as of June 30, 2026, including $28.3 billion across 28 closed-end funds.
