A Texas PAC affiliated with the Senate Leadership Fund booked more than $51 million in advertising Friday to support Republican Senate nominee Ken Paxton, intensifying outside spending in his close contest with Democrat James Talarico. The commitment came on top of more than $23 million booked by six other Republican groups from Sept. 1 through Election Day, giving Paxton and Republican allies a 5-to-1 advertising advantage, according to media-tracking firm AdImpact. The roughly $75 million Republican-aligned total excludes part of a $10 million Texas advertising purchase disclosed by President Trump’s MAGA Inc. super PAC and more than $2 million in voter-contact spending by Elon Musk’s America PAC. Separately, America PAC has spent more than $8 million this month supporting Republicans in the 2026 midterms, including over $6 million across six Senate toss-up races, while No Going Back PAC Inc. has spent $3.1 million on midterm races, including $1.9 million in Texas, and reserved at least $49 million in battleground-state advertising. The spending marks a reversal after Texas was omitted from Senate Leadership Fund plans in April and Paxton spent months as a financial underdog following his primary victory over Senator John Cornyn with President Trump’s support.
