Apple unveiled the $2,000 foldable iPhone Duo on Tuesday, but the launch also highlighted Bitcoin’s appreciation: one BTC now buys 60 iPhones, compared with 1.1 in 2016. The BTC-iPhone ratio, based on the number of iPhones equivalent to one Bitcoin, has changed sharply from 156 BTC for an iPhone 4S in 2011 to about 0.015 BTC for an iPhone 18 Pro in 2026. Coinbase posted a Bitcoin-themed image of the unfolded phone, Gemini said its services are compatible with the device, and former Binance CEO CZ called it good for charting. Apple also introduced the $1,200 iPhone 18 Pro and $1,300 iPhone 18 Pro Max at its Cupertino event under new CEO John Ternus, who took over from Tim Cook on Sept. 1. The iPhone Duo has a 7.6-inch inner display and becomes available October 23, while the Pro models arrive September 18. Analyst Vadim Yuryev said leaked Geekbench results showed the A20 Pro chip reaching a single-core score of 4,725, above Apple’s M5 Max at 4,337 and the A19 Pro at 3,771.
