The Las Vegas Raiders announced a multi-year contract extension with tight end Michael Mayer on Saturday, though the team did not disclose financial terms. NFL Network reported the agreement as a three-year, $45 million contract containing $30 million guaranteed. Mayer, 25, will begin the season as Las Vegas’ No. 1 tight end while Brock Bowers recovers from a knee procedure. Mayer recorded career highs of 35 receptions and 328 yards in 2025, with one touchdown in 13 games, including 12 starts. Since the Raiders selected him in the second round of the 2023 draft out of Notre Dame, he has totaled 83 catches, 788 yards and three touchdowns in 38 games, including 32 starts. The extension comes as the Raiders begin their first season under head coach Klint Kubiak against the visiting Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
