Wirex has added Tempo to its platform, giving fintech partners a new settlement option for enterprise card programs. Card issuers using Wirex can now settle transactions on Tempo, a blockchain built for stablecoin payments and incubated by Stripe. The network finalizes transactions in under a second, offers dedicated capacity and predictable sub-cent fees, and uses stablecoins to pay network fees rather than a separate gas token. Tempo Zones provide private balances and transactions with selective disclosure for audit and compliance, while structured transaction data keeps funds and settlement information on one rail to simplify reconciliation. Wirex provides regulated card issuance, wallets, compliance and stablecoin settlement through a single integration, issuing cards under its own licences as a principal member of Visa and Mastercard. Wirex said Tempo’s payments expertise and customer support, including its Stablecoin Advisory and forward-deployed engineers, help partners move from architecture to production. Tempo has worked with DoorDash, Deel, Klarna, Felix and ARQ. The companies said the integration will support additional fintech and enterprise card programs. Wirex has also worked with Stellar and Visa on on-chain card settlement, while its infrastructure reached $1 billion in annualized onchain volume 131 days after launch and doubled that amount 110 days later.
