Polymarket has appointed Warren Jenson as chief financial officer, reporting to founder and CEO Shayne Coplan, as the prediction-market company expands its U.S. exchange and international platform. Jenson will lead the finance organization and long-range planning. He previously served as CFO of Amazon, Electronic Arts, Delta Air Lines and NBC, and sits on the boards of Ripple, DigitalOcean and Dropbox. The appointment follows reports that Donald Trump Jr.’s investment firm 1789 Capital was investing approximately $300 million in a roughly $1 billion funding round valuing Polymarket at about $21 billion, according to The Wall Street Journal. Jenson joined Ripple’s board on May 19, 2023, and became audit committee chair, overseeing the formal auditing process for the digital asset infrastructure company. Polymarket’s U.S. expansion follows its $112 million acquisition of QCEX in 2025, a licensed derivatives exchange and clearinghouse. Its U.S. venue is a designated contract market, a regulated derivatives trading platform overseen by the CFTC. Participants trade shares linked to event outcomes, with winning shares settling at $1 and losing shares at zero. On Sept. 12, traders assigned a 64% probability to bitcoin reaching $80,000 by Sept. 30 under specified market rules, while the broader September bitcoin price event had recorded approximately $5.17 million in trading volume.
