Samsung Securities has signed a comprehensive memorandum of understanding with BNY to collaborate on global asset management and financial solutions, expanding their relationship beyond traditional securities infrastructure into artificial intelligence and digital assets. The agreement, signed at BNY's New York headquarters on the 10th local time and announced on the 13th, covers equity brokerage, clearing, securities collateral management and securities financing, while also exploring differentiated services for clients. BNY, founded in 1784 and headquartered in New York, operates in more than 100 markets and provides custody, investment, asset management and capital-markets services. Samsung Securities plans to use BNY's global infrastructure and network to strengthen overseas investment services for South Korean investors. CEO Park Jong-moon also met Morgan Stanley and other global partners during his U.S. trip to discuss overseas investment information and advanced financial services. The companies described the agreement as Samsung Securities' first expansion with a global financial firm from traditional securities into digital assets and AI. Industry observers say BNY's custody and clearing infrastructure could improve the efficiency and stability of overseas stock trading, while cooperation in AI and digital assets could support the development of new products or services.
