TRATON Group, Volkswagen’s commercial vehicle division, has selected Ripple Treasury as its forecasting management platform, replacing roughly 20 separate Excel spreadsheets with a centralized system. The deployment covers businesses including Scania, MAN and Volkswagen Truck & Bus and will use Ripple Treasury’s GSmart AI-driven analytics layer for forecasting insights. The deal was finalized in August 2026, following Ripple’s acquisition of the platform, then known as GTreasury, for $1 billion in late 2025. TRATON’s updated 2025 revenue is €44.05 billion, compared with more than €40 billion in 2024. Ripple Treasury says the platform supports more than 1,000 businesses across more than 40 countries, processes over $100 billion in daily transactions and can be deployed in some cases within 90 days. September 2026 data showed GSmart adoption among eligible customers at 60% for Risk Insights and 44% for Forecast Insights. The TRATON implementation focuses on forecasting standardization and process automation rather than tokenization or crypto integration, although the platform supports digital-asset capabilities. The move reflects broader demand for unified treasury systems combining cash-flow forecasting, liquidity planning, risk analysis and AI-powered analytics, alongside competition from Kyriba, ION Treasury and FIS.
