Lexus Korea began preorders for the eighth-generation all-new ES on September 14 ahead of its official October 13 launch, offering nine grades: four hybrids and five battery-electric models. The ES 350e is the first battery-electric version of the ES line and starts at 71.6 million won, 1.3 million won below the ES 350h Premium. It offers a domestic-certified range of 478 kilometers, while the all-wheel-drive ES 500e starts at 77 million won and uses Lexus’ Direct4 torque-control system. The lineup also includes the sixth-generation hybrid-system-equipped ES 350h, including new all-wheel-drive variants. Lexus is positioning the model as a broader electrified alternative in South Korea’s premium imported-car market, alongside a residual-value installment program called Amazing Switch.
