HD Hyundai E&F has completed a liquefied natural gas cogeneration plant at the Daesan Petrochemical Complex in Seosan, South Chungcheong. The 435 billion won project, valued at about $310 million in the latest report, generates 290 megawatts of electricity and 321 tons of steam per hour for companies in the complex, including H&L Advanced. Commercial operations began in late July following phased commissioning. The LNG-fueled combined-cycle system produces power and heat simultaneously, supporting energy supply for petrochemical operations.
