The XRP Ledger apparently set a record by processing 3,254 transactions in one ledger, according to XRPL validator Vet. Most were one-drop XRP payments, prompting Vet to suggest the activity was probably throughput testing. The figure does not establish a new permanent transaction limit: XRPL uses a soft transaction target that can rise when validators close a ledger quickly despite it exceeding the previous target. Transaction complexity also affects processing load. Separately, the network is preparing upgrades introduced with xrpld 3.3.0, released on Aug. 6. BatchV1_1 was closest to its validator threshold, with 27 of 35 trusted validators signaling support as of Sept. 14.
