Kraken will disable withdrawals for seven crypto assets held by customers residing in the United Arab Emirates at 14:00 UTC on Monday, Sept. 14, 2026. Withdrawals remain available until 13:59 UTC, after which balances left on the exchange will be subject to liquidation scheduled between Sept. 15 and 25. The affected assets are Monero (XMR), Zcash (ZEC), Dash (DASH), USDD, Dai (DAI), USDS and Ethena USD (USDE). Kraken says prevailing market conditions will determine the currency of liquidation proceeds, meaning customers are not guaranteed payment in dollars, dirhams, bitcoin or a particular stablecoin. The deadline follows earlier restrictions announced on June 1, 2026, including the scheduled closure of open margin positions on June 15 and the halt of deposits and trading on June 16. Kraken attributes the UAE-specific delisting cycle to its regular asset reviews and does not describe it as a nationwide prohibition.
