The Simply Good Foods Company faces a securities fraud class action in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on behalf of investors who purchased or acquired NASDAQ-listed SMPL shares from October 24, 2024, through April 8, 2026. The complaint alleges that the company misled investors about its strategy and execution after acquiring Only What You Need, Inc., or OWYN, including management departures, higher administrative costs, product-quality problems, discounting and reduced marketing support. After Good Foods reported a nearly 17% year-over-year decline in OWYN sales and weaker consumption across all brands on April 9, 2026, its stock fell more than 27% over two trading days. Investors have until October 13, 2026, to seek lead plaintiff status, although declining to do so does not affect eligibility to participate in any recovery.
