XRP derivatives volume rose 97.18% to $5.52 billion and options volume jumped 348% to $14.55 million as traders positioned around the vote. More than $330 million in crypto positions were liquidated over 24 hours, affecting nearly 80,000 traders, while Bitcoin open interest fell 13.5% to 278,151 BTC. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF flows weakened after roughly $3.8 billion of inflows over three weeks in August helped lift Bitcoin from about $63,000 to $81,700. Investors were also cautious ahead of the Federal Reserve’s Wednesday rate announcement as major U.S. stock-index futures declined.
