MetaMask has expanded protection features across its mobile app and browser extension, adding warnings for investment, pig-butchering and romance scams, lookalike wallet addresses and transfers to first-time recipients. The wallet provider also uses artificial intelligence to identify phishing, scams and malicious transactions, while clearer transaction-confirmation pages aim to help users review transfers. Its Added Protection feature, launching first on the browser extension, automatically rolls back transactions that do not match their previews, with mobile support to follow.
