tZERO completed a new funding round led by Marc Cohodes and Max Cohodes. Existing investors Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), Bill Fleckenstein and partner Dinari participated, while Neighborhood Intelligence had committed to join the financing. The company said the round is part of a long-term capital plan supporting operations, growth and its infrastructure-as-a-service business. tZERO is developing infrastructure for tokenized securities and other assets, including tokenization, trading, custody and asset services. Its Crypto app enables users to buy, sell and manage cryptocurrencies. CEO Alan Konevsky said tZERO will continue expanding its tokenized financial-market infrastructure, pursue capital independence, broaden services for tokenization, other derivatives, prediction markets and spot crypto infrastructure, and seek strategic transactions to increase its scale.
