Charles Schwab is expanding its advisor technology offering through a partnership between Schwab Advisor Services and Anthropic, bringing Claude for Financial Advisors to more than 16,000 independent registered investment advisors using Schwab’s custody and business services. The Enterprise-focused suite connects customer relationship management, custody, portfolio reporting, planning, estate-planning, meeting and compliance systems, including platforms from BlackRock, Addepar, Envestnet, iCapital, Orion, Wealthbox, Wealth.com and Zocks. Claude can consolidate client information, support meeting preparation and portfolio analysis, update plans, identify allocation deviations and draft follow-up communications, while advisors retain responsibility for investment decisions and final client materials. Anthropic said the product is available for Enterprise license holders through its Cowork platform, with eligible firms signing up by the end of September 2026 able to receive a one-time usage credit. The rollout targets administrative work that limits advisor time with clients, while using audit logs, documentation workflows and human review for compliance oversight.
