Grayscale launched its Digital Assets Next Gen model portfolio on Monday, offering financial advisors a preset crypto allocation implemented through the firm’s exchange-traded funds. XRP is the second-largest holding at 26.11%, behind Ether at 42.34% and ahead of Solana at 21.09%; the three assets account for roughly 89% of the portfolio. The basket held seven funds as of August 31 and excludes Bitcoin. Hyperliquid accounts for 5.76%, while Chainlink, Avalanche and Sui divide the remainder. Grayscale limits any asset to 40% and rebalances quarterly, although Ether has already exceeded that threshold. The model has gained 30.69% since July 27, despite six of its seven funds trading below their starting levels. XRP trades near $1.42, up about 5% on the day, while the Grayscale XRP Trust ETF remains 38.51% below its launch price. The trust sold $180 million in tokens during the first half of the year at a realized loss, BeInCrypto reported in August. Grayscale Global Head of Distribution Laurie Katz said advisors want easier ways to add digital assets to client portfolios. The models carry no separate fee, while the underlying funds average 0.23%.
