LS Eco Energy supplied medium-voltage underground cables to a U.S. solar power complex, deepening cooperation with Gaon Cable’s U.S. subsidiary, LSCUS. LSCUS signed the contract with the local customer, while LS-VINA, LS Eco Energy’s Vietnamese production unit, manufactured and delivered the cables. The equipment collects electricity generated at the complex and carries it to substation equipment. LS Eco Energy said LSCUS is more than doubling its local production capacity as U.S. demand for distribution networks grows alongside artificial-intelligence data-center construction and renewable-energy investment. The company expects LS-VINA’s U.S. medium-voltage cable exports to increase by more than 20% this year from a year earlier and plans to expand supplies to newly developed U.S. power-infrastructure markets. Beyond distribution cables, LS Eco Energy recently obtained U.S. certification for 230-kilovolt cable, supporting its plan to enter the U.S. extra-high-voltage grid market after supplying such cables in Europe and Singapore.
