About 140,000 ETH worth roughly $350 million was withdrawn from cryptocurrency exchanges during the 96 hours before September 14, according to an analysis by crypto analyst Ali Martinez on X. The decline in exchange-held ETH generally reduces the amount immediately available for sale because withdrawn assets are moved to external wallets. Martinez said the flow indicated investors were increasingly choosing to hold rather than trade, easing potential selling pressure and supporting the possibility of a bullish breakout.
