XRP rose from about $1.00 on August 18 to roughly $1.37 on September 12 and later traded near $1.42, while derivatives open interest contracted sharply on Bybit and Binance. CryptoQuant author Amr Taha said the 30-day change in Bybit open interest shifted from approximately +61 million XRP to -37.5 million XRP, a 98.5 million XRP swing in 25 days. Binance showed a similar pattern, with the 30-day change reaching about -53 million XRP on September 15 versus around -39 million XRP on July 10. XRP also briefly surged from approximately $1.00 to nearly $1.70 in three days before consolidating between roughly $1.30 and $1.49 since late August. CryptoQuant author Arab Chain said XRP's 30-day liquidity turnover on Binance rose to about $4.6 billion, while its liquidity index reached 0.0675, the highest level in roughly six months. The combination suggests stronger spot-market activity and lower leverage exposure, although declining open interest cannot show whether traders closed long or short positions. XRP's recovery faces supply near resistance: an unknown wallet transferred 145.6 million XRP worth about $206.6 million, while sell activity was concentrated above $1.40, near $1.50 on Binance and in thicker clusters on Coinbase. RSI stood at 52.03, indicating neutral momentum. A close above $1.49 would open $1.55, while a break below $1.30 would weaken the recovery.
