HIVE Digital Technologies Ltd. has appointed Hubert Marleau as an independent director of its AI-focused subsidiary, BUZZ High Performance Computing Inc., effective September 15, 2026. Marleau brings more than five decades of Canadian capital-markets experience, including leadership roles at the Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto stock exchanges. The appointment comes as BUZZ HPC expands its sovereign AI infrastructure business, surpassing $1 million in average daily revenue and signing major contracts, including a five-year, $350 million AI cloud-services agreement and a $220 million sovereign AI GPU contract with Bell Canada for Cohere Inc. The company has also hired Mark Volk as Senior Vice President of Revenue. HIVE, listed on the TSX and NASDAQ under HIVE, is shifting beyond its historical focus on Bitcoin mining and data centers toward NVIDIA-based AI compute for Canadian enterprises and government agencies.
