XRP Ledger’s Batch V1.1 upgrade is one validator vote short of the support needed to begin its activation process, with 27 of 35 trusted validators backing it, or about 77%. The amendment, included in the xrpld 3.3.0 software release, would let users combine as many as eight transactions into one operation so linked transfers, such as both sides of a token swap, can complete together. XRP Ledger amendments require at least 80% support, which must remain above that threshold for 14 consecutive days; validators can change their votes during the waiting period. RippleX said it fixed 11 additional issues involving signatures, authorization checks and server crashes. The work followed a pre-Mainnet signature bug found in February and a more serious flaw in the original proposal that could have enabled unauthorized transactions from another user’s account. The original version was never deployed, while Batch V1.1 underwent further internal reviews, audits by Halborn and Common Prefix, a Sherlock attackathon and automated testing. RippleX said commercial projects are under contract or in development, but has not identified them.
