Slovakia's annual inflation rate slowed to 3.1% in August 2026 from 3.3% in July, below the 3.2% market expectation and its lowest level since December 2024. The decline was driven largely by a deeper fall in food and non-alcoholic beverage prices, while price growth also moderated across several categories. Consumer prices were unchanged from July, and core inflation, which excludes regulated prices, eased to 1.5%, its lowest level since February 2021.
