Japan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA) has published its fiscal 2026 Financial Administration Policy, prioritizing the social implementation of blockchain-based on-chain finance in real-world financial services and infrastructure. The agency plans public-private pilot programs, consultations, an on-chain finance forum, payment initiatives and reviews of securities settlement and related systems, while maintaining user protection and financial-system stability. The policy follows the government’s July 2026 strategy, "Financial Strategy to Promote Growth Investment—Upgrading Japan as an Asset Management Nation."
