Social media posts Monday incorrectly said Grayscale had just launched its Grayscale XRP Trust ETF (GXRP), which began trading on NYSE Arca in November 2025. The newer development is Grayscale’s 26.11% XRP allocation in its Digital Assets Next Gen model portfolio, making XRP the second-largest position behind Ethereum; Bitcoin is absent. Model portfolios provide financial advisors with ready-made allocations for client strategies. Grayscale’s GXRP holds XRP directly and trades through traditional brokerage accounts, charging a 0.35% sponsor fee, though fund shares do not represent direct XRP ownership. U.S. XRP ETFs recently recorded about $19 million in weekly inflows while Bitcoin ETFs saw substantial withdrawals, and XRP ETFs outperformed Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana in recent U.S. flows. Estimates put combined holdings of U.S. spot XRP ETFs at around 1.1 billion XRP. The allocation does not require advisors to invest 26% of client portfolios in XRP or guarantee inflows into GXRP, but it creates another channel for traditional investors to gain exposure. Coinpaper recently examined continued XRP ETF buying despite outflows from Bitcoin funds.
