Legend Biotech appointed Ingrid Zhang as chief executive effective immediately, replacing Ying Huang, who resigned in July after seven years leading the cell therapy maker. Zhang spent 15 years at Novartis, most recently serving as international chief commercial officer and previously leading its China business; she also held leadership roles at AstraZeneca and Pfizer. Legend shares rose nearly 3% in premarket trading. The company’s main product, Carvykti, generated about $1.9 billion in sales last year and about $1.25 billion in the first half of 2026. Legend is also developing an experimental in-vivo cell therapy for lymphoma that could avoid the lengthy manufacturing process used for conventional CAR-T treatments.
