Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson urged the community and the Cardano Foundation to support Midnight and other major ecosystem projects, arguing that Cardano’s long-term value depends on applications that attract users, customers and economic activity. Speaking during a livestream titled "Devs versus Builders," Hoskinson said Midnight should be viewed as a privacy-focused blockchain project within the Cardano ecosystem, not as a rival or separate venture. He questioned resistance to Midnight after criticism of its strategic changes and an earlier dispute over its one-way bridge, warning that opposition to successful projects could discourage developers from building on Cardano. Hoskinson also called on Midnight to prioritize simplicity, universality and low-cost operations, while saying technological improvements cannot resolve cultural tensions on their own. His remarks introduced no new technical milestone for Midnight or ADA; the central issue was whether community friction and limited public support could affect developer activity, liquidity and builder confidence. He reiterated that he remains involved because he considers Cardano’s work unfinished.
