Italy will extend by another 15 days its suspension of the Schengen arrangement with Spain, the country’s interior ministry said on Tuesday, Sept. 15. Rome said significant risks to internal security persist, along with a potential threat linked to possible terrorist infiltration. Italy initially suspended the border-free travel arrangement with Madrid on July 31 after a mass influx of migrants entered the Spanish enclave of Ceuta from neighboring Morocco.
