Salesforce introduced AIforce at Dreamforce 2026 in San Francisco on September 15, enabling employees to access company data and complete enterprise tasks through interfaces including Claude and Slack while preserving permissions, security controls and approval requirements. Chairman and CEO Marc Benioff rejected the "SaaSpocalypse" idea that artificial intelligence will replace software-as-a-service, arguing that software must evolve from helping humans perform tasks to directly executing enterprise work. Salesforce's ClaudeForce approach keeps AI reasoning in Claude while record changes and multi-step workflows run through Salesforce's enterprise data, business rules and permissions. The Claude integration launched in beta with 37 prebuilt sales-workflow skills supporting account research, call preparation, pipeline reviews and CRM updates. Salesforce uses Headless 360 architecture and the Model Context Protocol, and Anthropic said customer data processed through the integration will not train its models. Benioff said Salesforce sales agents generated $500 million in pipeline last quarter, while service agent Casey handled 5 million inquiries over roughly 18 months. Salesforce's fiscal 2027 second-quarter revenue rose 11% year over year and cRPO reached $33.5 billion, up 14% on a constant-currency basis. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei said only 5% to 10% of AI's potential value is currently being realized and called for company-level verification, shared industry standards and international cooperation on safety.
