Cisco Systems traded at $110.21, up 0.13%, after retreating from an intraday peak near $111.60 as it expanded Splunk’s enterprise AI strategy. The company launched Tokenomics for Splunk Agent Observability, giving organizations real-time visibility into token usage, costs, adoption and productivity across coding agents including Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. The feature forecasts consumption before billing cycles close, compares cost and quality across models and workflows, and connects AI spending with infrastructure costs such as GPUs, memory and network resources. Cisco also launched Cisco AI POD for Splunk with Nvidia for self-managed AI operations in on-premises, private-cloud and air-gapped environments. The Kubernetes-based system supports Splunk AI workloads and models including Cisco’s Deep Time Series Model, Google’s Gemma 4 and OpenAI’s GPT-OSS 20B, with Nvidia Nemotron models planned in the coming months. Separately, Cisco is expanding its Agentic SOC Workforce, co-developing an agentic security operations product with AWS, and adding development-stage observability tools. The moves build on Cisco’s $28 billion acquisition of Splunk in 2023 and broaden the platform’s role across AI cost control, infrastructure visibility and security automation.
