U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche said investigations overseen by former federal prosecutor Joseph DiGenova will continue after DiGenova resigned last week. DiGenova joined the Justice Department in April to lead a Florida-based investigation examining whether President Donald Trump was targeted by a long-running criminal conspiracy. The probe reviewed the 2017 U.S. intelligence finding that Russia sought to boost Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, along with investigations by former Special Counsel Jack Smith into Trump's retention of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago and efforts to overturn his 2020 election defeat. The investigation has not resulted in criminal charges so far, and DiGenova, a Trump ally, did not give a reason for his resignation.
