OpenAI investors have approached the company with proposals to begin a new funding round, though the company is not actively engaging in discussions, CNBC reported. The outreach follows earlier reports that OpenAI was seeking a minimum $1.5 trillion valuation, above an investor-proposed $1.2 trillion valuation. OpenAI raised $122 billion at an $852 billion valuation in March. The company has also been reported to be preparing for a possible IPO next year while managing heavy spending on model development and computing infrastructure.
