Celltrion will retire 544,299 treasury shares valued at approximately 100 billion Korean won, with the retirement scheduled for September 30 and the revised listing process expected to finish in October. The move is the first concrete action under the company’s recently announced mid- to long-term shareholder-return policy and will bring this year’s treasury share retirements to about 200 billion won across two tranches. By completing the process from buyback to retirement, Celltrion intends to eliminate the possibility of reissuing the shares. The company has pledged to return roughly one-third, or about 33%, of annual consolidated net income through treasury share retirements or cash dividends, with the mix determined by share prices, market conditions, free cash flow, research and development needs, and global facility investment plans. Celltrion reported record annual revenue of 4.1625 trillion won and operating profit of 1.1685 trillion won, followed by first-half revenue of 2.5387 trillion won and operating profit of 773.7 billion won. Its established products Remsima, Truxima and Herzuma retain stable market positions, while prescriptions for Yuflyma, Vegzelma and Omlyclo are expanding.
