SK hynix production workers approved a revised 2026 wage and collective bargaining agreement that sets profit-sharing bonuses at 50% cash and 50% company shares, resolving a dispute that had raised the prospect of production disruption. The agreement won 57.08% support from unions representing workers at the company’s Icheon and Cheongju plants, replacing an initial 40%-cash, 60%-stock proposal rejected in August. The company will continue allocating 10% of annual operating profit to employee bonuses for 10 years without a payout cap. Separately, SK hynix is in preliminary discussions with Intel on potentially using space at Intel’s Ohio semiconductor complex, including a possible lease or a venture involving hyperscale cloud providers. No agreement has been reached. SK Hynix shares rose in Wednesday trading after the labor deal, while Intel gained more than 5% in premarket trading following the report.
