SK Innovation is showcasing an integrated energy solution for AI data centers at the 2026 World Climate Industry Expo in Busan, combining renewable power, BESS (battery energy storage systems), SMR (small modular reactors) and LNG. The package is designed to support reliable electricity supplies by combining generation, storage and operating technologies. The company held a global renewable energy pipeline of about 5.3 gigawatts at the end of May this year and plans to expand the Jeonnam offshore wind project to 900 megawatts. SK On has applied predictive battery management and pack-level design to its BESS, while SK is working with TerraPower on sodium-cooled SMR technology. The exhibition also features LNG cogeneration, SK Group's AI-based intelligent power plant, SK Telecom's AI Factory and SK hynix's high-bandwidth memory.
