AhnLab will invest ₩100 billion ($72 million) over three years to transform its products, services and security operations around artificial intelligence, CEO Kang Seok-kyun said at a press briefing in Seoul on the 16th. The company launched AhnLab AI Plus, an integrated brand and platform architecture that builds on eight years of AI investment and applies AI across roughly 30 security products and services. AhnLab said the initiative will expand AI computing, data and platform infrastructure while strengthening its talent and research capabilities. It will also reorganize the business around software-as-a-service, using subscription-based products that customers can expand and renew according to their security needs. AhnLab is targeting ₩1 trillion in revenue by 2035, with SaaS and overseas operations as key growth engines. It plans to increase overseas revenue from about 10% this year to more than 30% by 2035, supported by existing subsidiaries in Japan and China, a joint venture in Saudi Arabia, additional Asian bases, a planned cyber defense center in the Middle East and potential strategic acquisitions. AhnLab cited a 65% annual increase in the speed of hacker attacks and an 89% increase in the scale of AI-enabled attacks, with AI performing attack tasks in about 90% of AI-driven campaigns. Its broader AI strategy includes security data, specialized AI models, agentic AI operations and decision intelligence developed through more than 30 years of security experience.
