Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko promoted Jurassic Finance's sale of one million TRCH1 tokens tied to Deaton, a 66-million-year-old Triceratops prorsus skull. The project had raised $406,667 in USDC, or 61% of its $660,000 target, with roughly 13 hours remaining early Wednesday. Jurassic Finance plans to spend $600,000 acquiring the fossil and place $60,000 in its labs treasury. Holders would receive economic rights through a special purpose vehicle rather than direct title, and all contributions would be refunded if the target is not reached. Deaton was excavated in North Dakota in 1999, is 60% to 65% complete by bone mass, and is planned for a long-term museum loan. The sale comes as SOL traded near $97, down about 4% over 24 hours, while the remaining $253,000 needed would test demand for tokenized real-world assets beyond stocks and bonds.
