BNB Chain is offering $20,000 through a four-week online hackathon for tokenized-stock applications while making APRO Oracle price feeds for at least 12 bStocks available to builders at no cost. The initiative follows bStocks’ June 11, 2026 launch and the earlier rollout of xStocks, which had listed more than 50 tokenized U.S. equities and ETFs on BNB Chain by late April. bStocks, issued as BEP-20 tokens and backed 1:1 by U.S. shares held in regulated custody, surpassed $500 million in market capitalization by late July. Reported cumulative on-chain trading volume during the initial period ranged from $7 billion to $20 billion depending on the source, while BNB Chain’s tokenized-stock volume exceeded $5.2 billion by mid-September, including more than $1 billion over Labor Day weekend. BNB Chain’s share of global tokenized-stock and ETF market capitalization reached nearly 30% at peak times. Free continuous pricing can lower infrastructure costs for lending, margin-trading and other DeFi (decentralized finance) applications, while bStocks trade 24/7, support self-custody withdrawals and automatically process dividends and stock splits. The network faces competition from Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche and Ondo.
