VPT launches FLX Series with power output up to 5,000 W

  • VPT launched the configurable FLX Series DC-DC converter platform for mission-critical military, avionics and space applications.
  • The series delivers 1 W to 5,000 W across 28 V, 50 V and 270 V buses, with efficiencies up to 90%.
  • The FLX Series is available now for airborne, ground and space platforms through VPT, distributors and company events.

VPT, Inc., a HEICO company, has launched the FLX Series, a configurable DC-DC converter power solution for mission-critical military, avionics and space applications. The platform combines VPT’s DC-DC converters with integrated electromagnetic-interference filters in a rugged, scalable housing, allowing engineers to consolidate multiple modules into one qualified assembly. It supports 28 V, 50 V and 270 V bus voltages, delivers 1 W to 5,000 W of output power and reaches efficiencies of up to 90%. Units offer multiple outputs, three mechanical configurations, current-limit and short-circuit protection, remote sensing and load sharing. They operate continuously from -55°C to as high as +110°C without power derating and provide radiation performance ranging from radiation tolerant at 30 krad(Si) / 42 MeV to radiation hardened at 100 krad(Si) / 85 MeV, depending on the converter model series. VPT said the FLX Series is available now, with configurations meeting MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275 and DO-160.
