South Korean aerospace shares rose broadly on the 17th as investors focused on SpaceX's planned 14th Starship test flight on the 22nd, pending regulatory approval. The mission is designed to place Starship into orbit for the first time, carrying 26 Starlink V3 satellites and testing reused heat-shield tiles. Nara Space Technology rose 29.92% to 13,850 won at 11:20 a.m., while Kenkoa Aerospace, Contec, Sphere, RF Materials, Korea Aerospace Industries and Hanwha Aerospace also advanced. Starship is intended to orbit at about 275 kilometers, circle Earth six times and splash down in the Pacific Ocean west of Chile roughly 10 hours after liftoff. The flight will also retest Super Heavy booster operations after an incomplete engine reignition before the prior test's splashdown. Elon Musk said it would be the final mission before SpaceX attempts to recover Starship at the launch tower.
