Super Micro Computer shares rose 3.00% to $36.71 on Wednesday as investors returned to artificial-intelligence infrastructure and server stocks after a sharp selloff earlier in the week. The stock had dropped more than 7% during a broader semiconductor and AI infrastructure retreat, as investors reassessed the pace of AI infrastructure spending. The Technology sector gained 1.0% and the S&P 500 rose 0.4%, while Broadcom, Advanced Micro Devices, NVIDIA, Intel and Marvell Technology each fell roughly 3% to 8% on Monday. Caution remained ahead of the Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision later Wednesday. Super Micro also has notable exposure in three ETFs, meaning fund inflows or outflows can trigger automatic stock purchases or sales.
