Anchorage Digital Bank N.A. has added institutional custody support for Etherlink and seven assets on the Tezos-based, Ethereum-compatible layer 2, including xU3O8, a token representing physical uranium ore concentrate. Existing Anchorage clients can hold xU3O8, WXTZ, stXTZ, USDT, USDC, USDSM and wrapped Ether in segregated accounts while using their existing policy controls and operational processes. The integration brings tokenized uranium issued through Uranium.io into Anchorage's federally chartered banking infrastructure. Uranium.io sources physical uranium through Curzon Uranium and stores it with Cameco, while the xU3O8 token enables eligible users to gain fractional exposure and transfer the commodity exposure onchain. Anchorage said the arrangement can shorten settlement from weeks to minutes for token transfers. Etherlink settles transactions to Tezos layer 1 while allowing developers to use Ethereum tooling. The custody expansion follows Anchorage integrations with Frgmnt, Lido, Binance and Tetra Digital Group as it broadens institutional access to onchain assets and services.
