Column N.A., a federally chartered U.S. bank with $1.77 billion in assets and FDIC membership, has completed its proprietary financial infrastructure and launched four products: stablecoin settlement, full-stack card issuance, global banking and multi-currency accounts with local payments. Founded by Plaid co-founder William Hockey, Column integrates USDC and USDT with its banking core through a same-ledger architecture linking stablecoin addresses and bank accounts. The platform provides 24/7 interoperability among USDC, USDT, U.S. dollars and U.S. and international clearing networks. Developers can access issuing-bank functions, processing and credit facilities through one integration supporting Mastercard, Visa and stablecoin-backed card products. Enterprises can open U.S.-dollar or local-currency accounts for compliant global clients, while multi-currency accounts support foreign-exchange transactions and instant conversion through real-time networks including SEPA Instant. Column said the shared infrastructure can move funds from stablecoin collection through multi-channel disbursement without requiring separate providers. Its API uses Solana as the default blockchain while continuing to support Ethereum and other major networks. Hockey said the services were already moving billions of dollars for fintech companies including Ramp, Brex, Bilt, Mercury, Slash and Kapital. The rollout comes amid continued U.S. debate over stablecoin rewards and digital-asset regulation.
